Recorded at San Francisco's Hyde St. Studios, the album mixes Peck's
story raps with vintage American musical vibrations. The all-live
arrangements channnel the spirit of P-funk, Chuck Berry, Gil Scott
Heron, Beck, Link Wray and other avatars of soul. Groundhog's Day is
the first document of the "Hist-Hop" genre.
